I am Krs da kemist (Chris Ybarra) from Abilene, TX.  Started listing to Ministry, Front 242, Nine Inch Nial, Netzer Eb and Art of Noise during the 80's and 90's.  Then heard Rick Alvarado spin electronic music at little hang out in Abilene. I fell in love with electronic music, started hanging out at Rick's house and listing to his new tracks he would get in the mail back in 1991.
By 1997 After hearing alot of dj's in Dallas at Lizard Lounge and Austin clubs on 6th street I noticed the music started to change. I Could not get into the groove to dance to the music the dj's were playing.  So in 1999 I began dj-ing my own tracks from mail order, DanceRecords, vinyl with friends at house party's in Abilene. Abilene house partys were the best, all the dj's would come hang out at Dave Lush's or Jeanne Dearwechter's ( Dj PollyPhonik's ) house and spin all night long.  Best music I have ever heard in my life and the best time I had in my life with friends.

2001 was the first show I ever played, it was amazing! It was a huge show at the Abilene Civic Center featuring Bryan Cox, and several other talented djs.  In 2003 I played another amazing show with local talent at the Abilene at the civic center.

Moved to Dallas Fort Worth in 2004 and found residencies at Echo Lounge and Firehouse on Lower Greenville.

2004 Spun at 1st afterhours clubs in Dallas TX Heaven Studio and  Fallout.

2006 spun at the Lizard Lounge with Johnny Funk.

2010 resident at Tribeca on McKinney Ave. 2010 did FiFa world cup party at J. Pepe's bar, the bar had a pool which made the atmosphere amazing for good house music.

2014 hosted Beauty Bar Turnside Tuesday night mix on Lower Greenville. Present day majority of my mix's are on Youtube with video mix by me krs da kemist (Chris Ybarra)

MARS is simply a character who has been creating, destroying, and rebuilding pieces of art for many years.   From his beginnings as a punk kid scribbling on walls in a tiny West Texas town, to honing his craft as a "professional" artist today.  Much of his work has been showcased in several independent galleries in the Central and South Texas areas.  Mars's style has a life of its own, growing through his influences in street art, and his admiration for off-beat artists from Dali to Crumb, he has truly developed a unique style that can only be called MARS.  He also engages in area-wide festivals, to nationwide traveling art shows such as Art Outside, and Pancakes & Booze, recently adding 'body painter' to his many talents. Preferring a life of anonymity, MARS only aspires to share his creative expressions, giving his audience a chance to step into his world and think outside of the box.   Possibly inspiring them to go out and create for themselves.ers know a little more about you.
